Humble beginnings

In the early 1940’s, Vresso entered the food service industry by building bespoke, artisan built refrigerators and freezers by a small team in a workshop in central Beirut. After the initial creation of Vresso in 1942 manufacturing custom build refrigeration systems, Vrej Sabounjian opened the first showroom in Jal el Dib Lebanon and began to import a wide range of foodservice equipment.

All while staying true to quality manufacturing of stainless steel furniture and refrigeration. We stand for the below.

Further Market Penetration

Throughout the 1950’s and 1960’s, the company expanded in to the industry by importing brand name food service equipment from the US and Europe, to provide clients a complete line of equipment for their foodservice needs.

Our selection process for representing factories and brands rely on a number of variables but most importantly are below.

Expansion and Growth

In the late 1970’s, laundry equipment was added to the solutions provided. Even throughout the difficult times that Lebanon faced in the 80’s and early 90’s, the company kept offering its services and distributing equipment. The factory did not seize its fabrication of high quality stainless steel equipment for the Lebanese & surrounding markets.

We offer an assortment of segments such as hotels, laundromats, hospitals and wherever cleaning is needed.

Mergers Acquisitions

In 1999 Vresso acquired Cutlass which was a smaller company that had a good penetration into the small equipment and supermarket segment. After its initial acquisition it has been grown into a company which designs, supplies and installs an entire fit out to small markets from 200m2 to 5000m2.

At Cutlass there is now a portfolio of prominent brands and focuses on supplying its customers to other distributors.

Year of moving

Expanded its manufacturing operations by relocating from a 500 m² facility to a modern 2,200 m² production space, significantly increasing capacity and efficiency. At the same time, the company renovated its showrooms, enabling customers to experience a broader, more comprehensive range of professional equipment.

This expansion enhances production capacity, improves customer experience, and allows Vresso to meet growing demand and more focus on bespoke projects.

New Markets

As our customer base grew, the company expanded into Qatar, Iraq, and the DRC, extending its regional and international presence. This expansion is significant because it demonstrates Vresso’s ability to meet diverse market needs, strengthen global partnerships, and deliver reliable professional solutions across multiple regions.

Each project is dedicated a site manager, procurement officer and after sales rep which is trained and prepared from our team.
